You’ve always been there, without a doubt. You carry all of my books when they are too heavy to hold. Your hugs so close and never change, and I can’t say I don’t love it. Why you do it I will never know. You’ll always have my back. For you are that one special knapsack.

The Horde

They all stood frozen and petrified. The horde was coming. The horde approached with verocity. Men, women, and children stampeded over one another with the viciousness of a hungry animal.     

There was no escape, no refuge. Reggie gave a small whimper.  

“Do it,” he said. Steve turned on the sign “Black Friday sale. Now open.”

The Struggle

The noise was deafening. Max could feel his head about to explode. Max began to sweat profusely as he was being crushed by a blanket of iron. He fought and struggled against the force. He forced his leg and arm out and pushed himself to freedom. Panting he spoke;

“I hate getting out of bed.”

My Inevitable Doom

I gulped as I took in the building; it towered over the treetops. As I dragged my feet closer, my heart pounded. I knew that I would be facing the end. “Don’t worry girl. It’s not… too painful.” A man cackled. I reached the door and tugged on it. I’m so not ready for school.

Trapped

My pulse quickened. There is no way to escape this. This is my fate, I guess. I snapped back to reality, listening to their voices. What will I say? What’s my answer? My mouth was dry, I couldn’t find the words. “Do you take this man to be your husband?” And then I woke up.
